Clean and Safe

Clean and Safe

NAFA is dedicated to ensuring exhibitors and attendees can do business in a safe environment that follows the latest guidelines established by the CDC, State of Pennsylvania, City of Pittsburgh, and the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

Health Screening

Daily health screening for all staff, vendors and attendees will be implemented at Center entrance. Restricted access and a color-coded wristband system will insure all within the venue have passed this daily screening check point.

Per CDC guidelines NAFA’s policy regarding masks is as follows: Masks are highly recommended for all individuals regardless of vaccination status. Masks are required for those who are not fully vaccinated. Full vaccination status being defined as individual being two weeks past final vaccine shot. Individuals must be able to produce a valid vaccination card when requested, or must wear mask at all NAFA events, sessions and within all public areas of Center and hotels.

Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the meeting space, trade show floor and in common areas. The hotel and center will implement increased frequency of sanitization with EPA-certified cleansers that are CDC-compliant of public spaces. Meeting spaces will be cleaned between each session. In addition, each attendee will be given hand sanitizer and anti-bacterial wipes in their conference bag.

While social distancing guidelines have been removed by the Center, NAFA will continue to do include some distancing in our event sets. Larger aisles will be added to the expo to help manage traffic. This will keep attendees from bumping into each other or crowding in certain areas on the trade show floor. Education sessions will be set up to allow for 3’ space between chairs.

Food & Beverage

Food and beverages will be provided in a no-contact way: Custom menus focused on quality ingredients that limit contact in kitchen prep. All meals will be attendant-only served buffets/stations. Coffee breaks will be self-service, but with additional cleaning and many single use items.
